What is Club Baseball?
More Than a Club
The Indiana University Club Baseball Program is a fully student run organization. IU Club Baseball is a group of students that meet at least once a week for a relaxed practice that includes batting practice, fielding practice, pitching practice, and scrimmages. From these practices, a travel roster of about 20 per team is formed for our Division I and Division II teams that will play a mock NCAA schedule which includes conference and non-conference games. This is around 10 weekends of the 32 week school year that IU's academic calendar runs through. A rough schedule for each semester contains 2 conference series, a non-conference travel weekend, a tournament, and a home non-conference series. If either team can qualify for the playoffs, they will play through the month of May in regionals and the NCBA (National Club Baseball Association) World Series. The Division I and Division II teams have varying levels of skill, but both teams practice and travel together for non-conference weekends. If you are a baseball player interested in continuing playing, a student who loves baseball, or are curious learning more about our club, contact us or come out to our open practices!
OUR EXECUTIVE BOARD
Indiana University's Club Baseball Program is run by a group of 5 player elected officials that have been trained as officers by the Indiana University Club Sports Federation. Listed below are our officers and some information about them.
Garrett Larson
President
Garrett is a senior from Texas in his second consecutive year as president. He oversees the executive board.
Brandon Panell
Social Chair
Brandon is a sophomore from Massachusetts in his first year as social chair. He coordinates IU events and runs the social media!
Brenden Schrage
Vice President
Brenden is a junior from Indiana in his first year as Vice President. He assists Garrett with club oversight.
Casey Fanelli
Treasurer
Casey is a junior from Indiana in his second year as an executive board member, he used to be the social chair and is now the treasurer. He oversees the clubs financials.
Preston Sepe
Secretary
Preston is a sophomore from New Jersey in his first year as secretary. He is responsible for the being the clubs spokesperson and talking with new members.
